I’m not a picky eater, but I would say my standards are high when it comes to hummus. I’m not a fan of almost all packaged brands that I’ve tried, so a staple homemade recipe is very important to me. It took a few tries to get to this one, but it is by far the easiest and the best tasting. I’ve seen plenty of hummus recipes that get fancy with flavors and require multiple steps. While I’m sure they have their merit, there’s still something pretty great about throwing everything into a blender and creating something dreamy in a matter of seconds.
- 1 15-oz can chickpeas, slightly drained
- 1 garlic clove
- Juice from half of a lemon
- 3 tablespoons tahini
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3/4 cup water
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
Using a food processor or high-speed blender, blend all ingredients together until smooth. Garnish with paprika, high-quality olive oil, and fresh flat-leaf parsley.
